We Just Won Three Awards for the best Odds API
June 2, 2026

So, the results of the first ever Odds API Awards are in and... we did alright. Actually, we did more than alright. Sports Game Odds walked away with three wins out of six categories, and honestly we're still a little buzzing about it.
Over 1,097 developers, traders, and builders voted across the six categories throughout May 2026. Real people in the sports betting data space, casting real votes. That part matters to us.
Here's what the community decided, based on community votes Cast and the annual Odds API awards held by Sport Game Data.
SportsGameOdds won
- Best Free Tier Odds API
- Best Value for Money Odds API
- Best Developer Experience
Best Free Tier Odds API (51% of the vote)
This one was the closest race of the night. We edged out The Odds API 51% to 43%, which in a two-horse contest is about as tight as it gets. Both providers clearly offer something worth having at the free tier level, but the community gave us the nod. For anyone who wants to build and test without spending a penny, we'll take that result with a smile.
Best Value for Money Odds API (71% of the vote)
Now this one felt good. Value isn't just about having a low price tag. It's about what you actually get for your money: the data quality, the reliability, the features that are there when you need them. 71% of voters felt we delivered the best combination across all of that. That's not a narrow win. That's the community saying something pretty clearly.
Best Developer Experience (63% of the vote)
Probably our favourite of the three. Developer experience is personal. Bad documentation wastes your afternoon. Clunky SDKs make you want to throw your laptop. Slow response times make everything feel like a slog. 63% of developers voted us the best experience in the market, and that means a lot to us because it's exactly what we've been putting work into.
What This Actually Means
Sports Game Data called us "the headline story of the 2026 awards" and said we're "quietly building serious momentum across the market." We'll take that too.
Three categories out of six is a proper result, especially for a first year awards. But the bit we care about more than the trophies is what the votes are actually saying. People trust us to give them a generous free tier, fair pricing at every level, and an integration experience that doesn't make their lives harder.
That's the job. We'll keep doing it.
Thanks to everyone who voted. It genuinely means a lot. Now back to building. Big thing are on the way in the last half of 2026 and into 2027.
